Behind the Scenes of the CSL Personalised Pencil Launch

I actually can’t believe I’m finally writing this… Personalised Pencils are officially here and ready for your names, your businesses, your words — in gold foil and wrapped up in pastel prettiness!

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know this launch has been in my heart for a long time. Like, a proper sit-on-the-idea, scribble-it-down-in-every-notebook, quietly-squeal-when-the-samples-arrive kind of long time.

But now? They’re real. They’re foiled. They’re very, very cute. And they’re launching this Friday, 25th April at 8pm (UK time) — exclusively to my email lovelies first.

The Pencil Plan (and Why I Waited a Whole Year)

Let’s take it back a sec… why pencils?

Honestly? I’ve always loved them. There’s something about the feel of a freshly sharpened pencil, the scratch of graphite on paper, the way it invites you to write without pressure. And I knew if I ever did them, they had to feel very CSL — fun, thoughtful, a little bit nostalgic and of course… sparkly.

But personalised pencils? That felt extra special. So for over a year, I sat on the idea, worked on the behind-the-scenes bits (aka the foiling press journey — more on that later!), and watched what colours and products you all loved the most. I waited until it felt right — and now it really, really does.

 

Meet the Colours: The OG CSL Trio 

So when it came to launching, there was no way I wasn’t starting with the bestsellers:

• Lush Lilac
• Blush Pink
• Strawberry (my juicy red-pink pop of joy) 

These are the core CSL colours — they’ve been the favourites in everything from planners to list pads to stickers. And now, finally, they’re pencils too.

• Names and Business Names only
• Up to 20 characters max
• One name per pencil
• You can mix and match names by adding individual pencils to your basket (perfect for gifts, stocking fillers, or desk besties)

Single Pencils are just £2.00 — so you can pop one or two in alongside your planner, or build a little set of your own.

You can also choose a Pencil Gift Box Set — beautifully packaged, tied up with a ribbon, and ready to make someone (even if it’s you) smile. These sets come with:

Foiling Magic: Behind the Scenes

Can I tell you a secret? Watching the names press into gold foil never gets old. It’s honestly one of the most satisfying things ever — and it still makes me do a tiny happy dance every time.

Each pencil is foiled in-house by me, using my new foil stamping machine (her name is yet to be confirmed, but she’s a beauty).

It’s a careful process — heat, pressure, alignment — and it’s done by hand with love and a lot of yes this is really happening!!! energy.
